*UPDATE: This project won't work with Windows7 64bit

Just a video I made for some friends. It's an avr oscilloscope based on an attiny45 avr.

You can find the original project here (I am not the original creator):

  • hello.. pls.. teach me how to make one.. because i cannot make my proj working.. i followed all the instructions and made your post about flashing the program to the tiny45.. but it is still not working.. my os was win 7 ultimate and it displays unrecognized device.. how can i fix this.. thanks

  • @moonlightsonata025

    Here are a few tips:

    1. If you are using a serial programmer use a REAL RS-232 serial port. USB-to-RS-232 adapters or laptops might not work. Also choose the correct port in the programming software!

    2. Give Vcc voltage while programming! The tiny45 needs 5V in Vcc to get programmed.

    3. Program the avr BEFORE welding it to the circuit, just to make sure.

    4. Double check the connections.

    5. In Win7 run the programming software as administrator.

  • Can i use a Attiny13?

  • @AssemblerAVR

Probably not, it doesn't have enough memory (only 1KB vs 4KB in tiny45)

  • samples / second?

  • @SpecklePattern

A couple of hundreds at best

  • i didn't use a hub.. i just put the wires directly to the pcb.. will it work??

  • @papalevies i have programmed the tiny 45 properly.. i used ponyser and avrdude just like the one you posted on the monspace.. and assembled the circuit.. now.. i connected the usbscope to my laptop.. it says unrecognized.. but as i watch your video.. it didn't displayed any message.. just a window appeared and you made the measurement at an instant.. i just want to know.. how you made your project perfectly.. thank you again..
