I just viewed a 6 year old Trex deck on the top level of a boathouse and it looks like new. The cedar (same age) on the first level looks aged. I'm about to do a 1000 sq foot deck and I have the same builder that will do Trex, PT or cedar, but I really loved the way Trex looked. What type of Trex products are people have good or bad luck with?
Just curious where you live and when it was purchased? I am a professional deck builder on the east coast and have installed thousands of Trex decks without issue at all. It looks like a delamination issue that was reported out of Fernly Nevada plant. This is a very rare occurance and very unfortunate but material should be covered under 25 year warranty. Also FYI all composites require maintenance and can stain, not just Trex.
Sorry to see your problem good luck with your deck.
