Mercedes-Benz C-Class locking beep

Before you start commenting that the video sucks, this is here so I can show the members of mbworld the car lock/unlock beep.

To get this on your MB, go to the dealer and have them set your car to USA with buzzer. This option should be under the Rear SAM menu I think. Also this is the beep set at 100% volume, it can be adjusted in 10% increments. Note this is different than the Netherlands setting under the Rear SAM menu.

my moms benz flashes and its mirrors fold in whats the point of them folding?

The mirrors folding is optional on all models in Europe because they have smaller parking spaces, garages etc. The automatically folding mirrors can prevent some very expensive damage.

In the US not many models have the folding mirrors because they aren't as important to American buyers, even though they are pretty cool.

hey, my dad has a G500 and my mum has a S350 (yeh they love mercedes!!) is it possible to get it done on them out of interest or is it just the c-class?

The G, I'm not sure.  But the S350 should probably be able to be done. Is the S350 a 2006? If so I think it can be done on that model.

Can the 2006 c280 be set to make that chirping sound? This model looks like a 2007 and I was curious if the 2006 models can be programmed to do that as well. Every video I watched of the 06, none of them beeped.

Wait i noticed the design of the key. Does it matter what the key looks like because every few years they change the design of the key. My dads 03 S500 has the key design before the one in the vid. Can we activate the beep thing on an 03 S?

My dad bought an S500 and it has the power folding mirrors. I like how the mirrors don't fold out till you open one of the front doors. My dad uses the button inside the car when he puts it in the garage even though i think he doesn't have to. It barely fits in the garage. We have an 03 Ford Explorer and it fits so much better then the S.

My dealer did it for free, they just have to change the computer from the US version to Mexico or some other country code that make the car beep
