All of you who defend the right to reproduce, then who is here to safeguard the welfare and human right of the their children, if the state and the parents do not have enough means to raise these children i.e. parts of africa and india, then these children grow up starving, illiterate, begging, ill and wandering in between landfill site. would you uphold their right to reproduce but cruel to ignore the child's well being? china is not USA and dont hv a welfare net or $ to bring up every kid

Our capitalist endless growth model is simply unsustainable. We are increasingly running up against environmental and resource limits and this will only continue. Anyone that cannot see this is either ignorant or willfully ignorant.

i hate the one child poilcy becuase when they grow up they have to feed 4 elderlys he's parent and husband/wifes parent since they are only child theirs going to be more elder and less kids and the female and male perportion is become unbalance theirs going to be more male than female

The Amish don't use birth control, and I think as many as 10 children, is common for them. I don't want to live as primitive as the Amish, but out of practical and religious concerns, I do not believe in "controlling" human fertility, and we should always welcome any more "blessings from God" children.

Out of respect for God and God's creation, we aren't allowed to remove guy's penises, nor impose "control" upon our fertility. Natural increase is still NATURAL, a "given."

Oh, sure you can still have a big family, but if you want to make sure you are completely legal in America, you had better be rich. A family with a dozen children, how many bedrooms is that? At least 7. And better find a bus somewhere and put in seatbelts on every seat, no matter that the hypocritical government is probably still running school buses WITHOUT seatbelts?

And yet the rich have the most pathetic excuses why they can't be bothered with many children.

On another discussion, somebody bought up issue of laws against having more than 2 children per bedroom, because that is "overcrowding." A bit awkward for me, for I feel like I'm being asked to give legal advice? But what an example how accepting contraceptives is bringing TYRANNY. Watch the 1950s version "Cheaper By The Dozen." How did they fit a dozen children into their car? They just piled in,smaller children sitting on laps of older children. Now we have seatbelt laws

See what happened with accepting "birth control?" Downward slide of decaying social mores. Even developing countries are wary of condoms, associating condoms with "dirty sex," such as prostitution. If people have sex only with their spouse, why would they need some "glove" on their penis? Seems they are right, for look at modern-day explosion of promiscuity and STDs. Poor people are scared of contraceptives - What is this? For good reason. They don't want to be "lab rats."

Why do you suggest such a cruel thing? We are talking about people, here, people who have God-given human rights. We can't just chop off penises. Even liberals say, "You can't stop people from having sex." I agree, but sex=babies, therefore "You can't stop people from having babies"

The vagina was made to accept the penis, God's design, and people love to have sex. Proper outlet for powerful reproductive urges, is marriage and REPRODUCTION

So let world grow denser, ADAPT

Why do people get pregnant anyway and give away their child? Simple. They want their child to live, regardless even if supposedly "too many" children.

People have the right to enjoy having "all the children God gives." God commanded people to Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, which means, don't use any birth control. Let babies push out at the full natural birthrate unrestrained. People love to have sex, and sex is supposed to be natural and procreative

No, I disagree, for many good reasons. Human body was never designed to use "birth control," all contraceptive methods are shoddy. Pop "control" is cruel and should never be imposed upon people. Yes, let even islands grow dense and "crowded." People can ADAPT.

Isn't Puerto Rico part of U.S.? That means, if they "outgrow island," they can spread into entire U.S.
