  • needs a taller 1st gear.

  • Im sure he know's what he need better than you do considering that he owns and built his own car and it now runs mid 8's

  • Who won the engine builders challenge? The SR20? Um, no......the 4g63 won. 4g63 FTW.

  • holy ol' hell batman i think i saw a fast dsm, lol, and as for anybody saying dsm's are unreliable.....WRONG!!!!!!! they are a care that needs to be takin care of, people just hop in a 15 year old car toss 7000$ at it make it hav 450 whp and hope it will stand up to it, well it won, you need to take care of the little things first, that where there, "unreliable" rep came from and i wish it would go away cause its NOT TRUE

  • @Speedcult77 TALONS 4G63 POWER FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even a stock and slightly tuned 1g could get into high 12's-13's :D

  • Jesus... One hell of a 1g.

  • @juechter Correct, it is a 2-Step and/or launch control. Also, I am sure he is applying NLTS (No lift to shift). Floor it, clutch and shift. The 2-step is to help the car build boost so they can launch with some extra power Sometimes Nitrous is used during the launch process to spool the turbo for a better launch.

@raptorboy1014131 It takes more than a couple seconds to get the boost to build. This is running a big turbo, not a little t-25 or VW turbo.

  • @raptorboy1014131 if there was no point then people wouldn't do it. and im pretty sure its not a rev limiter, i think its called something like "2 step" or"launch control" but im not sure. this allows the car to stay at a certain RPM while holding down the pedal and not having to feather it to keep it there, also helps your turbo stay at full boost while launching.

  • i dont get why people hold it against the rev limiter all the way down the tree it should only take 1 maybe 2 seconds to spool the turbo(s) so there's no point in it

  • @rodgazinya Please can you get some video footage of that!!! I fucking love it man. Such a bad ass ride. fuck.

  • This talon runs high 7's now itz not a 9 sec car anymore

  • @bigguedo Oh and a little PS here, check out Shep's DSM, over 1k to the wheels and in high 7's. Mine would lay 6 foot awd scratches under hard launch and walks the rear. Must be hard to hold onto 1,000 ponies even in an awd. Point is 950 seems like a lot (and it is), but to break past 9's takes a lot.

  • @bigguedo Fully loaded with driver most 1G's tip the scales around 2500-2700lbs. Do you know how much horsepower it takes to shave even .5 seconds? I doubt at that power and weight, rwd, he's breaking 10's I'd say more like low to mid 10's for that camaro... if you have a video of it in the 1/4, I'll gladly eat my words. I ran very low 12's, high 11's at 404awhp/427awtq (daily driver, full interior, my fat ass). To break into singles is pretty tough and takes a LOT of tuning and horsepower.

  • 950hp to run low 9's. My boys 3,000lbs 95camaro runs runs 9.3's 1/4mi and dynos just over 650hp on the spray. I would of thought a 950hp car would of been faster.
