  • @birdsfan24 I lkie the original theme better than the theme used in the syndication prints.

  • @cwideman86 Fantastic theme tune too

  • @cwideman86 I loved it too! And still do. I was delighted when I visited the USA and found ALF DVDs in the shops. I just had to have them and I still laugh when I watch it.

  • @birdsfan24 and in addition b/c of the shortening in length they also cut off the extra scenes in the intro such as Kate (Anne Schedeen) giving ALF a stern look after slapping him on his hand for stealing food from the fridge, the closer shot of the kitchen table before Willie (Max Wright) comes home from work, and the extra 3 seconds of the barbecue scene just before the scene where ALF breathes into the camera.

  • I wish they would show ALF on British TV again...

  • I love this theme it's so nostalgic. Alf was my favourite show in the 80's Great memories.

  • 99% of the time it was just a puppet.

Occasionally a dwarf in an Alf costume was used for the shots where you could see his legs, which were rare.

  • was that a migget that played alf or just a little kid?

  • This is the original and rare intro to ALF from seasons 1 and 2 that was aired on the original NBC airings of the show. The intro that is now used for seasons 1 and 2is from the syndicated version of the series. That version is slightly shorter, and uses a lower base tone in the theme song.
