  • This is good, man, but you filmed it holding it facing you, to us it looks upside-down! The pacer thing SHOULD go left to right, and high notes are above low notes.

    I will not criticize any Tenori-On player. They had the "guts" to buy an expensive instrument. It is innovative, people are still feeling their way, unsure about how to use it. Some will "get it" and some will not.

  • @gellajec yeah this thing tends to annoy the fuck out of me. still it's cool

  • @GreatBigSlide Do you mean the K-Pro? It uses preset sounds but you can also record from external sources, like guitar, microphone or a second synth. There is some guy on youtube playing on 2 kaossilators at once just search youtube for "jam on 2 kaossilators" I guess that video explains a lot.

  • @dudewhosaysarrh

    Are those used as midis only? or can it use presets?

  • @GreatBigSlide I was talking mainly about the kaossilator pro. That thing has 4 loop banks, so you can generate 4 separate loops and built stacked sounds within each bank if this becomes too much you can switch off the loop, edit it or delete it while the others keep playing and it has 16 beats loop capacity, at least above 108.5 bpm. Moreover you can mix the loops and adjust each loops individual volume. It does however not have track bounce or resampling capacity, thats what he kp3 is for.

  • agh....listening to the sequence being repeated over and over and over again drives me crazy

    No offense though to those who love it

  • @dudewhosaysarrh This seems like it has a lot more features and loop functions than the Kaosilator though. I had a Kaosilator for a bit and the only problems I had with it is that you can't take individual tracks or sounds out of the loop, and it only goes to 8 barres (or 16 if you glitch it out). So you can only add a shit load of things untill it gets too much and do a few other things. This looks like it eliminates all those.

  • @chicayote Sort of. It is primarily a sequencer with a wavetable memory. you select sounds arrange them in a pattern on the LED matrix and the sequencer will play them. There is another type of instrument out there called the Korg Kaossilator and the Kaossilator Pro those instruments are controlled by a touchpad and you can build tunes by recording loops and soloing on top of those. They're tons of fun and much cheaper than a tenori on

  • I WANT THIS SO BAD! D;

  • on Bach? yeah, like the first phrase of the Invention repeated 46748979827 times without any development - Bach would kill someone I think

  • i don't get it.
