MUSHA is actually part of the Aleste series which goes back quite away, it's actually sort of a spin off of the main Aleste games. It's alled Musha Aleste in Japan. Robo Aleste was the only direct sequel to it though.

And now Compile is dead, so no more Aleste or MUSHA. Damn it.
