This is a 27 second video of Tiny Town Railroad engine #10 in action. Amazing mini steam engine.
This engine may be the very last engine converted from Walcharts valve gear to Baker. Where the old system had lots of moving parts worn out by friction the new Baker valve system dose the same job with pin joints and ball bearings. The Baker Boys Machine Shop did most of the lath and mill work on this engine. The movement is a simple 4 to 1 that opens and closes steam and exhaust ports. This engine is one of the favorite engines in regular service at Tiny Town every weekend. A real coal burner that is a thrill to see and smell.

My source said three adult injuries, all out of the hospital in three days. The high percentage of kids were snug in the caboose which never left the tracks.
BTW, the team of engineers thanks all for your support! Trains have been operational since 8-30-10 and precautionary rebuild of #10 is underway!
Engines, scale and fullsize, are rebuilt bi-annually anyway and the state inspects the boilers every year like clockwork.

Is that the one that crashed and hurt a bunch of kids?

Go to rmpbs for a great video on Cinder Belle #10. Select "Railways" on the Spirit of Colorado area of their page.

Nice to see this park is still in service. We used to go there in the mid 1970's. COOL!
