also, why was the sodium bicarbonate added?

for better yield use a stoichiometric amount of acetone instead of isopropyl and do it in an ice bath to keep any chloroform from vaporizing out during the exothermic reaction

When I did this reaction the seemed to be very small amounts of exothermic energy. There is noticeable differences in the visible properties of the mixture.

tengo algunas dudas: 1 el polvo que es?

2 Se usa Alcohol como el de la limpieza de heridas o agujas

3 El limpido o blanqueador es el comun sin olor?

4 En que orden los debo mezclar?

5 Como separo lo que sirve de lo que no?

my volume is working so cant hear anything so im just gonna ask... does this reaction proceed on its own after the alcohol is mixed with the bleach? is there a noticible chemical reaction or does it happen so slow that you dont notice it? would you need to keep it cool through out the whole time while doing this reaction?

yes you should
