@xhxntxrx Well you're thinking of back in WWII when were fighting more... Professionally trained enemies. Insurgents don't always recognize the Geneva Convention and will fire upon any and all troops in sight. And for that reason, Combat Medics tend to no longer wear the classic Red Cross insignia anymore. Today a Combat Medic is hard to distinguish from a regular soldier aside from their slightly larger carrying load. (Medicinal supplies and such.)

Yes..snipers in iraq and afghanistan TARGET and look for the medics. They recognize our aid bags. And yes it is a war crime to kill a medic. We carry weapons to protect ourself and our patient. However we cannot use our weapons offensively or we will lose our geneva conventions protection. They spend half a day in ait going over the geneva convention.

@shadowwolfHITSQUADtv thats not the point ..... TRIBUTE , NOT MUSIC RATING
The medic is a soldier first but always there when a fellow soldier needs them. I'm Proud of my Medic son serving in Iraq and all the other medics and corpmen out there. Thank you all for sending our soldiers back to us without you things would not turn out well for anyone. God Bless You All!! Hooah!!!!!!!

I think combat medic is much tougher than paramedics that work on an ambulance, they need to fight, and at the same time, to handle causalities on the battlefield. I'm not sure, but this is what i think. They deserved our respect and salutation.
