are you kidding me??! This is ridiculous. If you can't read music.. no, even if you DO read music, this piece requires a certain level, a level so designated by Chopin when he himself wrote it. By making it into a simplistic tutorial, you are insulting all of us who put in years for this piece! Forget tutorials. You need large hands, a soul to sell, and lots of hellish work to do this right.

@AdrianOscarVEVO I totally agree with you if the player is someone with intermediate to slightly advanced piano playing skills. All you have to do is set your mind to it and take it measure by measure. I was scared to hell of it and now that I tackled it I am realizing that it just takes practice and to learn it slowly. The speed will come in time. Honestly though, if you are NEW to piano, you might find it a little tough and should approach it when you get a little better.

@senzasardines Ok... I have NEVER had a piano lesson and have been playing since I was a kid and have become very good over the years. I can play Moonlight Sonata all 3 movements easily. Someone who is self taught can use this video to learn fingerings and to serve as a guide. Just because it took you "YEARS" to learn it doesn't mean you have to say someone is insulting you by posting a tutorial. Someone out there NOT at this level might be happy learning it THIS SLOW! JERK

@bbdhrggl yes sweety I know that ... but know that we learn faster by 'watching+practicing' than by 'practicing' only ... that's the magic of mirror neurons.
I do not have the lvl required to play this piece, I'm not even watching this vid to lean to play it but to see how some sequences of notes (that I can read on the sheet) should be played .... then I will practice.. that's my way of learning.
-
@ollyuzr you are mistaken. my classical tutorials provide occasional reference for those who read music and can pretty much play the piece on their own.
-
@senzasardines ohhhhhhhhhhh ... boring .... the video says Chopin Polonaise tutorial .... it's meant for people who believe they can learn by seeing .... no one forced you into watching this ...
-
My God:) I love this piece! Your videos have been so helpful, is there ANYTHING you can't play, or even struggle with?? ;)
-
@xXAzNBa0Xx i guess you're right :))
-
@DJJOHN92 its othing like that
its a question of respect
-
there is a difference in playing this piece to let the piano sound and playing it with soul
i understand that there are many viewers who cant read music
but playing this is totally on an other level
i appreciate all the effort he did right there, and everyone has the right to play it
but everyone has to respect this masterpiece
this piece needs months of practice
u can play every piece if u practice enogh
but the deep understanding is what makes u a good pianist
and not this ..

@senzasardines I am not a great pianist like you are but I appreciate that bbdhrggl has put their hard work and time to help others. I disagree with you you dont need many years of practice to do this piece, but what you need and faith and couple of weeks of work and I am sure that many of us viewers would be able to play this piece. For many years I thought that some pieces are beyond me but when I did Chopin Nocturne Op.9 No.2 I realised that basically you can achieve anything you want
-
And btw – great post, bbdhrggl!

@senzasardines I don't like people claiming that you have to study hard to be able to play certain pieces. I've read a lot of litterature about Chopin. I'm not just a "fan" – his way of living and writing as admireable. And as you've might have guessed, I'm not the best sheet-reader, so I'm learning his songs this way at the moment. And boy, I put a lot of soul into every single not I'm playing. So please, quit that "my hat is bigger than your hat" attitude.

@DarkSoul694 ilovekyokyoxD any 3-page kikyo piece? if so, i'll do it if you send it.

@ilovekyokyoxD if others request the same piece, yours will move up my list. yes, i worked hard all my life. my day has no dull moment. i wouldn't do this if it weren't fun. i do lots of other fun stuff too, so don't feel bad! :)
