What microacg said. It always warms up their brains as well, keeping it in the ''micro/macro'' mentality in order to keep a high APM all game. It's very effective.

the spam is to help u keep going. if u dont do anything for a few seconds, u start getting lazy, and then ur like aag so wat if hes attacking. if ur span a little, ullbe in shape :D

SIGH, i hate idiot noobs who talk about APM as if they know anything.
SPAM APM, for good players, is used to get them in the motions of scanning the map and moving their mouse quickly for micro and more importantly to keep their focus on the game.
so learn another way to be a jackass and dont talk about things that you've only heard of but really know nothing about

Selecting probes for the first two minutes actually doesn't count towards apm... this guy plays with 350-400 apm and is extremely good despite that. Also, sure looks like 3 probes on gas to me.

ive got a question.. how do you get ur probe to make the pylon then mine minerals after making the pylon without you telling it to?

He did tell it to... but with the lag it seems like he issues the command before the probe has actually built the pylon. Watch it again closely.
