@TheFlanker35 The music isnt that different because this was recorded in the 50's. The rock and roll sound came out of the Holiness church, not the other way around. Pentecostals and Holiness people did not frown on rock and roll because of the sound, but because of the dancing and message that went along with it. Prior to Elvis, many musicians did not jerk and gyrate to the beat.
@CMajorDane Yes, it is different. I grew up COGIC Pentecostal and they have always used any instrument in church because it says let everything that can make noise praise the lord, so the guitar was just another instrument. But so many of the early rock and roll musicians came from the church so it is no surprise that rock and roll actually sounds like church music from the churches they grew up attending.
Lol. That's why I thought this was the start of a rock and roll song for a while. It's really interesting to hear how rock and roll came from from Gospel though.
@TheFlanker35 That was the irony of this. How can preach fire and brimstone due to rock and roll meanwhile useing the primary tool of rock and roll... the electric guitar.

What's he playing? His music isn't that different from 1950s rock and roll.
