  • RV7,

Easier to take off from grass than concrete or tarmac, with the MT prop it is off by the time full power is in !

    Thanks for all the comments.

RV8 is under way - I will post first flight in a couple of years.......... With a roll !

  • @MonsterRage Not at all if the field is in at least fair condition. Even better is the landings on grass. As my insturctor says, grass landings forgive us of our sins. The momentum tends to keep you sliding forward, and their isn't as much rudder input. On asphalt, you need to stick it good and straight, and keep working those rudder pedals a bit more.

  • This is an RV-7 right? I notice your's doesn't have the overhead "roll bar" frame w/the grab handle like I've seen in others. Is that an option in the kit?

  • Lovely video...You made flying look effortless...Finertip control,sometimes none...

  • Excellent. Thank you!

So which RV is this?? And will you let me tutor under you?!

  • there is actually 4 year that I don't pilot!

I need to do this again urgently!

  • nice,,, must have been nervous a bit i bet ,,,,you grabbed that red handle 4 times lol

  • @newimaging Because people screw up and not know it.

Know what you don't know slowly. Better men than him have died thinking "oh come on.... your just being a stick in the mud"

  • Awesome, congrats on getting it done. I am about to close up the wings on my 7. Got a long way to go. But I know by the time your done you know every rivet by name. So why not roll it :)
