UK Helicopter Pilot .com - Angus Thackery (Gus), a uk helicopter pilot, shot this prior to returning this Eurocopter EC120 B Colibri to Liverpool. (G-FEDA)
The guys at the beginning are about to spray clean the jet engine fan blades as it's the best way of cleaning them (at startup) A 4 minute (post annual) test flight by my instructor and we were off back to Liverpool.

  • Nice. I'd like to try one. So that was a test flight after an annual overhaul and then take it back to the owner? I haven't flown for years. I found myself looking up at the sky at a 407 (as far as I could tell) hovering overhead this morning waiting outside a customer's residence for an appointment. I look forward to anything else helicopter related from you. After a long break from flying, it's hard to call myself a pilot. The good thing is, it only takes another hands-on flight to be able to.

  • @ComputerGrant yes returned it to Liverpool with my instructor. A rare opportunity for a student to fly a turbine especially that distance. All toward my hour building at the time. I promise I will be uploading more very soon, it's the editing i'm not very good at!

  • ya cut out half the start up?? thats the whole point to listen the a startup turbine.....

  • @blackmesa25 That's because in this case the startup included service work and lasted ages. And I didn't get the camera rolling early enough to catch the beginning! Sozza!

  • hey is that Walton Wood airfield???

  • @punjab555 Yes it is but I think it's just a Private one for getting to the Service Hangar!

  • @UKHelicopterPilot OK mate. Stick with it. One edit at a time. If there are any flight schools in Japan that use the Schweizer 300 - I want to have a flight. I can't afford a course or anything but would like to get back in the saddle at least once so I can call myself a pilot again. After such a long break - I am curious if I can still fly.

Talk again. I'll keep an eye out for updates from you.

  • @UKHelicopterPilot

hey no worrys maty! It's a wicked video anyway and thanx for ya reply ;-)

  • @UKHelicopterPilot Flew a 44 in there this year from Dublin, very nice little setup there!

  • @boonthip100 A lot! approx between £550,000 and £950,000 depending on age, condition, etc etc, this is a best guess so please treat it as such!
