I'm usually not one for poetry at all, but I was just blown away for 7 minutes straight there. Thank you :)

Illustrates quite much the difference between slam & performance poetry. Want a contrasting video: older woman performance poet Hedwig Gorski on a river in Louisiana in the USA. Most obviously, the performance poem Teenager in Nova Scotia is in third person about a teenage girl discovering her sexuality while this one by Kate like most slam is in first person about the poet herself. I like both approaches, though. Very interesting illustrations of each
