In the early morning hours of Saturday February 28th, 2009, there were about 70 patrons inside the Little Ochie Restaurant and Bar situated at 1176 Kennedy Road in the former City of Scarborough. The deceased, Kesar Kerry St LOUIS and several of his friends were in attendance at the club.

Shortly before 3:00 am, the deceased became involved in an altercation with Person of Interest #1. At that time, a fight broke out between the deceased, his friends, and a second group of males. The fight progressed towards the front doors and spilled out into the parking lot in front of the club. Several patrons fled the club. A car travelled southbound in the parking lot and came to a stop in front of the men involved in the fight.

At that time, an unknown person, believed to be one of the combatants, pulled a handgun and fired several shots. The combatants, several vehicles, and spectators dispersed.

At 2:59 am, several 911 calls were received by the Toronto Police Service Communication Bureau reporting that there were shots fired. Upon arrival, the Police and Emergency Medical Services located a lifeless body laying in the parking lot. Resuscitation efforts failed and Kesar Kerry ST LOUIS was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination concluded that Kesar Kerry ST LOUIS dies as a result of gunshots to the chest.

A second male sustained a gunshot wound to the groin. The circumstances surrounding the cause of that injury are presently under investigation.
