Hour 1, Segment 1 of 7 G.C.A. "Is Calvinism Dangerous?"

In our inaugural Theology Talk, Jim is joined by Jeff Young, GCA president, to discuss a recent
anti-Calvinist message, preached by Pastor Brady Cooper at the New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Jim and Jeff carefully and respectfully point out the assumptions, misrepresentations, and "straw man arguments" that are typical of the Arminian approach to Scripture. It is our intention to utilize this informal discussion format to produce other Theology Talk programs in the future covering a wide variety of topics.

I find it very interesting that you preach directly against other preachers. Are you not creative enough to preach from the Bible yourself? Are you sir, not educated enough to come up with your own sermons or do you have to attack others? You have completely turned me away from your church regardless of if you are wrong or right.

Actually, Pastor Jim has exposited and taught through at least 7 books of the bible, plus other theological studies in law/grace, soteriology, eschatology, etc... all available to listen to at his site free of charge. The question is: will you listen to any of them or simply sit behind your computer making groundless accusations?

People don't want to be told they are commiting sins or not obeying the commandments. The want to paint this picture that god is love and he will accept you just the way you are. That is false if you look at the 4 gospels in the NT is says repent and come before god not come as you are. The elect will understand this the rest will reject it.

So Terri, how does someone know if they came to Jesus with a true heart? I am sure you have seen your fair share of people who prayed that prayer and believe they meant it, yet their life does not reflect the change a regenerated heart brings about. What will you say to the person who has prayed that prayer several times and wonders if they are saved?

Calvinism is the most dangerous of all because there is genuine regeneration birthing genuine converts who genuinely worship in spirit and truth before the One True Genuine God All Mighty!

What a genuine series this is.

All men are welcome Jesus died for whosoever believes [that means you] will not perish but have eternal life.

Come confess your sinner to Jesus repent ask Him to forgive you and come into your heart as your Lord and Savior.. He reads hearts.. He knows a true heart and you will be saved

Reformed theology has the truth. The same truths taught by the Apostles. Did you know that those who consider themselves 5 point Calvinists are in the 1 percentile of Christians? That should tell you something. If everyone believes something it just may be false. In fact that's the way it usually works.
