Stephanie has gone on to work (quite successfully) in International Public Health. Her passion for justice and caring for humanity is reflected not only in this speech but in all her endeavours. From her wildly proud mom who continues to give her books.

As soon as you said "We cannot accept the fact that (some) million people die of AIDS) I thought to myself "and we can't accept the fact that so many people are uninsured!" I'm glad you said that. Many of your reasons are why I am going to pursue a Master's degree in public health, and I cannot wait! I am in my last semester of undergrad now, and I'm going through the applications process now. Going crazy right now lol but I am so excited to pursue a career in public health! :)

Great speech! I'm starting my MPH next year...so tired of bedside care. I love the hospital, but it's depressing at times. Since PH is so broad I'm trying to decide what type of PH job I would like.
