had one of these situations but flew a Ta-(the plane with tight wings i cant remember).
As i landed with fueltank burning and was moving with 30km/h on the land and exploded...after that engine started burning and i was missing a wing & a wheel :D

Well you're engine went out when it started burning and probably reached the engine and blew the plane apart when you landed.
