Testing my new Blackheart Little Giant BH5H

First part of the video is a 2005 PRS SE Soapbar (P90s)
Second part of the video is a 2008 Epiphone Dot Studio with Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups
Boost / drive is a BOSS DS-1 with Monte Allums Rectifier Mod
Cabinet is one speaker of a 2001 Fender Ultimate Chorus combo amp (2x12, open back)
Microphone is an EV N/D267, 45 degrees off axis, about 80% of the way to the edge of the cone at a distance of 0" to the grille.

Recorded clean with a touch of compression at the mic preamp.

  • I admire your playing, any advice you can give on learning to play like that?

  • Thanks a lot --- the best recommendation I can give is to listen to a lot of music with good headphones, not speakers, and never generalize. By generalize, I mean dumbing down songs into chords / modes you're already familiar with. Put your headphones on, and listen hard, with a guitar in your hands. Then try a million things until you get it exactly note for note!

  • Cool guitars, great amp and awesome playing, well done

  • thanks!

  • Hi, amazing tone.. what is the song since 3:00 ?

  • ciao io o la stessa testata comprata da un giorno mentre suonavo in modalita' 3 watt con volume al massimo vedevo che usciva fumo bianco e si sentiva nella cassa uno strano rumore sai cosa e potuto succedere? grazie marcello

  • whats the last song you play?

i doesn´t want to come back in memory...

  • yes,it's a tube amp. i played it into a store. it's very nice tone.

  • @Aniva66 Blackheart doesn't make solid-state amps that I know of.

  • @HotSEXJ Well yer right. That is the best way to play with no personal style whatsoever. You sound just like everybody you're trying to play. It really ticks me off to see great guitar players who never bother to learn everything else. Guitar is a tool for creating music, music is a form of art, art is an expression of human emotion not a re-creation of human emotion. So now you know how to swing the hammer really hard and with great accuracy but you still can't build a house. Good for you.

  • is it a tube amp?

  • eught fuckng minutes of amp on the same settng cool what else can it do i mean you switshed guitars but push it that is what its there for

  • ah! whats the last song u played?

  • almost like a peter green type tone there at 1.13.... nice :]
