@verdew8181 These are merely Stravinsky's attempt to realize these dances for himself. The Tango section most certainly sounds like a tango, listen to the percussionist. The waltz is easily heard in the Bass part. Ragtime is best heard in the bass line again, this time played by the bass, trombone, and bassoon. His writing was most certainly innovative and not necessarily easy to listen to but, not ambiguous.

It is supposed to be "3 dances". It doesn't sound at all like either a tango, waltz, or ragtime to me.

I am not familiar with this but so far, it is not on a par with my favorite Stravinsky works, The Firebird, The Rite of Spring, and Petrushka.

at 3:20 or so, the dbass player has to play one pizz note and then two bowed notes in a quite fast tempo, I play the dbass, and it is something really hard to do
