I honestly wasn't looking for trouble. I just wanted to go down to the shops to buy a kitchen knife and a DVD. But then I walked into this, in the middle of the intersection of Bourke and Swanston Streets, and as I'd heard a lot about the protests worldwide and seen some of the footage coming out of the USA, I chose to stick around and see what it was all about.

This video is what I saw. I would've filmed more, but the camera ran out of memory space.

  • Thanks 4 this - The woman u c being swung & thrown to ground by her hair at 3;50 was assaulted this way cos she refused to be forced away from her husband and into the street where police were visibly beating protesters. Her husband attempted to intervene and was knocked face first into the ground and detained by 2 cops w their knees in his back and neck. WHILST ALREADY IMMOBILISED BY 2 POLICEMEN a 3rd cop pepper sprayed directly into his eyes. You then c him dragged out at 4;12.
