  • Hey, I'm a scratch golfer, a senior in high school and lately I've notice my ball start slicing. I was told to stand closer but this doesn't help. My driver hasn't ever been fit, no place for miles and its too long, about 48.5". My arms hanging to floor is 37". Should I either stick with my swing but grip down lower on the grip, stand back further, or something else. Please, i need help. I have a huge tournament soon!!!

  • @imwrittingmyname Standing further away is better than closer. Standing closer will tend to put your weight on your heels which will set you up for a cut/slice.

  • Hi I'm 15 and working on golf because i would like to try out for golf my junior year. I go to the driving range as often as I can but I can't to seem hit driver. I hit a 3 wood 200-250 yards, but when I hit the driver i always top it and hit a low grounder. I use the same method for ball height on the tee. Any tips?

  • @redbull23952395 Just remember that the clubface makes the ball go up in the air. Even with the driver you do NOT need to hit up on the ball. Just brush the tee out of the ground, forget the ball.

  • @TheCanadianKid92 tee is too high up. i really dont have a clue either

  • Hey I'm 19 years old and just starting to try golf this year. I can hit with a driver but I usually hit straight up. I have a hard time choosing how to not hit it up as high as I am. Does anyone have any tips for a new golfer such as myself? I've only maxed out hitting 250 and I know thats not much but I started 2 months ago and try the range once a week usually. Thank you for any advice :)

  • do not use effort with your arms, just relax and swing , keep the eyes on the ball, and u solve the problems. I working on that...

    andfollow through..

  • useful from 8:50 and out

  • Rubbish

  • @remmy100 I'm a self taught golfer who had a couple lessons when I was 17. Played for about 1 year very rarely, perhaps once a month. Didn't play for 5 years and have only in the past 3 months started again. I am 22 and at the moment can hit my driver staight 280 yards. Never hit a driver or owned a driver before. My love is the short game though through my sw, lob and putter. Trying to get better at hitting 7, 6 5 from the fairway or rough and also woods from there. I now have a handicap of 18.

  • @tomsmith100 thats precisely the problem i have. with practice swings, i brush the ground everytime, but as soon as i put a ball down i immediately hit DOWN on the ball gauging canyons in the dirt.
