No Carcharodon megalodon, as current scientific thinking suggests this particular member of the shark family was very similar to the Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias), just scaled up. The brief as we understand it was to show a variety of shark forms, as diverse a selection whilst covering important fossil finds. The Cretoxyrhina model was included to represent an apex, giant shark predator. As Cretoxyrhina fossils are known from the USA it made more sense to include this model.
