Report on why Sudan is feeling under pressure from the international community.

Foreign recruits joining up for the People's Defence Militia are accused wanting to learn the terrorist trade. Christians in refugee camps complain that Muslim charities are promising more aid if they convert to Islam. A UN worker suspects that the government is starving the South to weaken their support for civil war. Such a catalogue of accusations is consistently denied by the Khartoum ministers. The Minister for Peace travels by helicopter to the south with an ex-rebel leader to prove to the local population that war is over. To a gathering crowd the ex-rebel announces that the Khartoum government is ready to accommodate their wish for autonomy. In this land of donkeys and satellite dishes, deserts and oases, conflict and division also take their Place.
