@1dschamp I agree 100%. I never called Hitler's political prowess into question, I was simply stating how he was not, in fact, elected Chancellor. Hitler, like you said, achieved infamy through his ability to persuade and incite the people of Germany. Even the members of the Reichstag believed him to be useful (hence his appointment) what they didn't count on however, was his ability to manipulate those around him...

@AhKiLLeeZe Hilter's political power came from the large number of elected candidates in his National Socialist party. He may have been appointed but it was his speeches and political activities that gathered so much support for the Nazi's. Without success at the ballot box, he could never have achieved any of the power that he did.

@1dschamp No, I'm not kidding you. If you truley believe Hitler was elected, then I'm not going to try and dissuade you from your beliefs. Let it be known however, that there is a difference between being 'elected' and being 'appointed.'

@AhKiLLeeZe You are kidding right?!? Hitler WAS elected. After his attempt to overthow the government failed, he decided to seek power by legitimate means. You might want to read about how well that worked out for everyone.

People, Hitler was not 'democratically elected'. He ran for office, but failed. He was friggin' appointed chancellor, a result of being particularly close with Hindenburg.
