Mike Stadler playing a custom Alan Perlman guitar at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival - August 2007. This guitar is a 12 fret 000 cutaway with a Larson Brothers-inspired soundboard design. More info may be found at http://www.michaelstadler.com and on the guitar at http://www.alanperlmanguitars.com
Nice. Hey, we have the same last friggin name!

The body on the bass side extends up to the 12th fret, rather than the usual 14th fret on such cutaways. This left more inside volume to compensate for the loss of the cutaway's space. Notice that the cutaway is at the 16th fret on the treble side, but the body extends to the 12th on the bass.

Nice playing and a great idea to have a cutaway on a 12th fret guitar.
