  • Good demonstration of the Geiger counter, but I am not sure that the source radiate 660 mR/h if it would be that much You wouldn't be live anymore. @youngestpilotinGa: The civil defence instruments CDV-700 and similar are not so sophisticated as russian instruments. With CDV-700 you can't measure high radiation so you must buy the CDV-715, and if you want to measure high beta radiation you need to buy the CDV-720. You can do all this with ONE Russian DP-5A/B/V.

  • Looks like the frame of the counter is made of bakelite, like the AK-74 magazines.

  • Looks like bad idea to touch the source by hands :D
