History. Conestoga Twp. located in the Susquehanna River Hills of Southwestern Lancaster County was incorporated in 1722, 9 years before Lancaster County formed. Though European settlers came as early as the late 1600's. Named after the Conestoga Indians (Native Americans) who lived there it is also the name of the river the race rides beside in the first 2+ miles. And the Conestoga wagon, which helped settle the west was named after this area and was also built here.
Music: First song is Hey Meola, by Jesse Yawn on his Hardest Way album, Produced by Tino Gonzales. Second song is Thousand Miles by Teddy Morgan. Third song is Heat Down Below (Ca Fait Chaud) by the Bluerunners on their debut album Bluerunners.
