And as per usual the kind of day that invites me out
I would avoid the rain but I wanna take a chance on the sun
but what a fool am I forgetting my umbrella

Til today I've never felt rain cause so much pain

From a distance you looked like a perfect paintin'
From the other side of town you called my name
From a drifter's point of view you had some promise
But I guess we jump the tracks and feel the train

Turns out you were the one the weatherman warned me of
You were the bolt of lightning that struck me 3 times
I'm still living though I'm afraid to go outside
And if I do well damn this time i'm bringing my umbrella
