The Palm vs Apple War

In this video, I discuss my thoughts regarding Palm and Apple. These two companies are going head to head regarding their latest phone models: The Palm Pre and the iPhone 3GS. Palm has done something controversal in that they are using a illegal technique to synchronize the Palm Pre with iTunes. Palm makes the Palm Pre pose as an iPod to get "better" functionality than other companies who synchronize with iTunes (via XML file) Apple has patched iTunes to fix the vulnerability that Palm exploited to do this, and Palm has come back and found another way. This back and forth has started a war between the two companies. Check out the video for my thoughts.

Poor Apple. I would be so pissed if someone was using the software I made to gain business. It would make me want to release an update that would 'brick' all palm pre's. But noooooooooooo that's illegal!

If u buy something in itunes its ur shit and u should be able to use it on any device u upgrade to no matter what brand i think apple should just let palm do what they want cause it wasnt screwing anything up until apple tried to stop them

it's fine if apple products require you to use itunes...but it doesnt make sense that only their OWN products can sync 'seamlessly' with itunes. i give palm props for going against such a stringent giant. if you have songs on your itunes....any kind of media device you buy should be able to sync regardless of which brand it is...oh and palm pre is just a ridiculously awesome phone.
