Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Review

Kwai Chi reviews the most famously known and awarded speech recognition software. The software pretty much works with any text box including this description field. For those who have used an earlier version of Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking, this version comes with a free headset that seems to work well. The software has been much improved too. You should show us how it works for internet explorer or another program besides word pad. But nice ending lol.

@mattou08 it works great for other programs but i was worried about youtube's copyright t&cs so i stuck to a program that comes with the dragon suite. It's actually dragonpad I used which offers some extra features for dictation :)

lolz. It didn't handle slang words well. It was fine after I loaded it into the database.

Can you play a voice recording on your PC and have it pick it up or it only can pick up from a microphone?

I saw $99 is a lot. video games (in Canada) come out to around $80 and have no benefits what so ever, where as this software will help in writing essays and things like that. i think if it is $99 its well worth the money.

The errors seemed common enough that you would strain your wrist just as much clicking on the misspelled words, backspacing, and typing the correct words in.

However, how do you further train this program after your first time?

Can you get it to omit sounds like "umm..." and "uhh..."?

The man in the video was talking in a "normal" voice and it would work even better if you went out of your way to speak like a robot: But would the program recognize the robot voice as your voice?
