STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- November 5, 2011. On Saturday, retired Colonel (US Army) and State Department diplomat Ann Wright spoke at Peace Action Staten Island's fourth annual "Make Food Not War" event. The event honors "peacemakers" and this year's honorees were Patricia and Lloyd Berg and Majorie Garvin. Wright spoke about her experiences with the Gaza Freedom Flotilla and urged attendees to support Occupy Wall Street.
