Nissan Maxima Broken Motor Mount - Auto Repair Tip Wilmington Delaware

Here we have a 2004 Nissan Maxima that has broken motor mounts on the front and the rear. These mounts keep the engine and trans stabilized in the engine bay. As you can see in the video, when they break, they tear away from their housings causing the engine to raise higher than normal and to drop lower than it should. Usually with a loud bang or thump. There may be up to 4 mounts in an engine bay and more if the manufacturer finds it necessary.
