This trailer is not very helpful. I know nothing about the story, what happened, who is accused of what, what the crime was... The creator assumes a body of knowledge about the case that the observer may not have. It's very confusing. I'm going to read the wiki page, which will probably wreck the story for me. Not impressed.

It's a story about how a McDonald's drive thru got the dad's order wrong one day and he just snapped and started making home movies and couldn't stop until he got arrested.

It's one of those stories not easily summed up in a trailer. Basically, the father and one son are accused of sexually molesting children, but then the allegations are pretty extreme and it makes you wonder whether the claims could be real. But then there are odd family members that sway you to believing something was definitely awry. But then again... ?

Basically a father and son are accused of child abuse. The show is very interesting actually. How people can be brainwashed. How people can see what is not there. How people can easily be manipulated and destroy lives.

I listened and I could barely hear a wobbly voice that seemed to say what you quoted. That's still very vague. Who is accusing who of raping who? Why?

I still think the trailer-maker did a poor job of outlining the story, mainly because they seem to assume we know something about the case. As someone who'd never heard of it before this was not very helpful and didn't make me want to watch the doc, which renders the trailer essentially useless.

Near the end, you can hear a man yelling "You raped my son! You raped my son!"

I have a gut feeling Jessie was abused by the father. He only helped his father as a type of psychological displacement. For instance if a boy is bullied by a bigger boy and a third boy comes into the group instead of trying to protect this new boy the bullied boy will bully this new boy. A subconscious defense mechanism to shield himself from the pain and deflect it elsewhere.

Please address what japanesesweet actually said, al2275, and stop throing out red herrings (you've got enough of 'em for a brunch). The point made was that the accusations were implausible,which is true. Massive numbers of boys sodomized on a regular basis w/no signs anything is going wrong, then the boys REENROLL for another session of classes! Please! Then you bring up Oprah!
