Good work on the translation. I love the art style of 999 and this game. I bet the 3D models where in part of pressure to make something viable when the 2D drawings would come off cheap to some people which is a shame. Another thing I think is a shame is that somehow I the American version is going to include horrible voice acting. If only we can keep the Japanese with English subbs, but here's to hoping

@Monkey6K Well technically, 999 could've had a better story as a standalone game if the writer didn't reuse story elements that ever17 had (Take out the 4th dimension being plot device thingy and just keep it with the survival theme while having different time-lines related to each other). That, and add more character development.

Ever17 is great yea, and similar in MIND FUCKISH events, but ever17 has more derpy romance filler while 999 has more interactive addicting awesome puzzles. Ever17 took me FOREVER to get through, dropping it several times before finishing it. I'm glad I finished it though.

@EpicWin12 um no i was saying that 999 was the best game ever. which, i am aware, there are loads of better games and yes, i am aware this might not actually be a sequel but just take place in the same universe but if i had said any of that, my message would've completely lost all of its already limited impact. :)

@YGOkid8 what, you mean the best game ever is a recycle of ever 17?

@bobrossfreak Actually, 'Tu fui, ego eris'was translated correctly in the video as 'I was you and you will be me' It appears on tombstones and is supposed to be from the point of view of the dead: ''I was (alive like) you, and you will be (dead like) me.
Like the updated subs, but your Latin is slightly off. Since Latin sentences have the object first and the subject specified by the verb, "Tu (fui), ego (eris)" is literally: You (I will be), I (You will be). In proper English this roughly means: I will be you, you will be me. There is no past tense.

@kandylover139 My apologies for that and I'm not surprised in the least that it happened. I did consult some outside sources before writing that translation in particular and had gone with one that was trying to maintain a consistent tone with the rest of the text, but as you've pointed out, that plan seems to have backfired a tad. Again, no surprise, since I don't have any experience with Latin. Thanks for enlightening me, though!
