Corny did a short series of drawings in 1991 of a woman he claimed he'd seen on the beach in the Palisades. He knocked them out in a few days and asked Jeff Goodman and I to shoot a few cycles of her movement for an upcoming show he had in the near future, and after doing that, we ended up shooting the drawings in greater detail just for fun. Two decades later, I'm glad we did, it's pretty neat.
It occurred to me that this footage probably hasn't surfaced in many years, and the original artwork was probably lost in the fire, so this might be something that a lot of folks hadn't seen. Please forgive the quality, as it was digitized from 20-year-old 240 line VHS and then heavily compressed to fit on the internet. And please forgive the 'analog' panning and zooming from the days before After Effects when we had to use our fingers to move the damn drawings.
I invite anyone who knew or studied under this wonderful guy to leave a comment about your experience. This video is also viewable as a link on Facebook's 'Tao of Corny' fan page.
