Decreed by who? I can assure you that The New Seekers are 'defined' by name and that is what allows the group which includes Paul Layton to continue the group's lecacy of 40 years. Since the re-launch in 2006, many great things have been achieved including momentous high profile appearances, 4 UK tours and a top 20 album in 2009, the group's most successful since 1974. By all means keep on hiding from the truth, but whilst you do, everyone else is having a ball!! Live appearances continue!!

@nicoiurh I always come back to this clip if i feel low. The singing from 3:10 always makes me smile. It`s so abysmal - how do the TV presenters keep straight faces !

The 2009 top 20 album success was all to do with the hit recordings on it featuring Lyn Paul & Eve Graham and frankly nothing to do with this fourth rate lineup . Good luck to them anyway but they owe a debt of gratitude to Lyn & Eve for their ability to scratch a living on their backs.

@leonaofficial Well I am delighted that we can lift your spirits dearest! Remind me where any of today's guys denied that the line up featuring Eve and Lyn was the definitive line up. Incidentally, perhaps worth considering that your low moods could be a result of no one taking the slightest notice of your crusade regarding today's NS? Do you not think that maybe after 10 years and all of their success that they have maybe made a point. Now do run along dear, there's a puppet show starting.

When Paul said at 1:30 `that was a different group the Seekers who split up ` if he was honest he would have said that the New Seekers split up in 1978 and since then the various lineups using that same name have been a tribute act to the 1970-1978 band. Possibly worst interview feature on a band I have seen on TV .

Sorry, your daft theory doesn't stand up!! If the group 'split' in 78 because Eve and Danny left, then they also split in 70, 73 when Peter went and again 74 when Lyn and Peter oliver left? Group changes are inevitable over 40 years but happily for the group's thousands of fans today, TNS continue. Get your facts straight before you come back with more dribble please!

They must be cringing, pretending to have been a part of the original hit making line up. They dont have a patch on the originals. Eve Graham & Lyn Paul were the real hit makers.This sounds very mediocre.

@nicoiurh Oh come *on* - you think this clip features the NS in any meaningful sense? I think the guy who made the point above that it's been decades of a dire, low rent tribute to the original line up (or the well known one) is spot on. 1 original member to bad cabaret acts on the sofa and isn't he now dead anyway?

@nicoiurh What a load of rubbish!! Any real New Seekers fan, going along to the concerts would (or should have) demand their money back. There is one ONE original New Seeker in that line-up. I've seen many groups re-form but this is ridiculous. I know that any one member can re-form/carry on the group name (if they have the rights to that name) - look at the problems Bucks Fizz had (good example)...and they're still arguing! Thanks for showing that clip but thanks also for the warning.

Only Paul is the original in this line up. Its disapointing wanting to see all or most of the originals.

`DEFINED` BY NAME - What a joke !

You can call a donkey a horse but at the end of the day it`s a donkey.

You can call this ensemble The New Seekers but million of their original fans know it`s not The New Seekers - it`s like watching a refomred Abba without Agnetha 7 Frida.

It`s one of the band + some nobodies who sadly dont have the charm and singing talent of the original band.

Still if it makes you happy eh !
