Would have to disagree with the lighting on this, the shadow on the right hand side of the face is not complimentary, even the pose is unsuitable for shape of the face. sorry! : (

thats not fashion at all... its basic 50 50 aka split portrait lighting...

morris, could u have mentioned to use a sekonic meter (assuming they have one for studio lightning) to see if ambient light is affecting the imagine? thats a sure tell way since sekonic has that niffy feature on their high and mid end meter :)

I don't think so. At a setting of 5.6 and 1/125 the light from the window isn't bright enough.
When I use two strobe lights in my home with 5 or 5.6 aperture, the pictures get too bright even if I increase the shutter speed until the dark stripe appears on the photos. What can possible be the reason for that?

@Samuella133 Changing the shutter speed will not work. The dark stripe is the shutter closing before the exposure is finished. You will need to reduce the power of the strobes, move the lights away from the subject or increase the aperture to get the correct exposure.
