@klbirch you can fit 285s with just a little crank
-
i hope you torqued those wheels. our shop has seen many people with aluminum rins come back for loose wheels. (or ones that fell off) i had that happen to me once, thats how i learned its important to torque, and re-torque aluminum wheels.

what size tires will it clear?

@LilPow3rs - You might want to get with Mickey Thompson Tires to ask. On the leveling kit, there was some room for a larger tire but there could be some rub.

How much backspace is required for a 17 X 8 wheel with 285/70/17 tire on 2010 2500 GMC w/Leveling Kit?
Thanks

@klbirch - I spoke to Mike Duvall today and he told me the wheels are 18" x 8.5" and have a 4.75" backspace. Thanks, Jason

i have been told by many service techs and diesel performance shops that even half ton trucks wont get a accurate reading from such dynos, especially for light duty trucks like this one. i will test myself to make sure

We use the Mustang dyno as it produces a load which replicates real world driving. The numbers in many cases are lower than seen on other dynos but in our experience it is the most realistic. Good luck on your dyno tests and thanks for yoru feedback.
