Here I show:
- Venus 'blooming' when it is overexposed
- how tiny Venus is when properly exposed, even when imaged at 40x zoom
- how you can make a tiny bright object appear very large by defocusing.

I then prove that any 'detail' that appears in a defocused object is to do with the lens, NOT the object.

So, yes, defocusing may impress persons unfamiliar with photographic concepts, and convince folks you are showing UFO's, but really, isn't it better to get the basics right, and show.. reality?

But hey, that's just me!

  • This is AWESOME information. I am currently on a quest to debunk these people taking images of objects in the sky and I would love with your permission to use your videos regarding this. It would really help with my quest. I would give all credit to you and post a link to all your videos. Would you give me permission to do this? I have quite a following and we are on a mission to debunk all these cracker jacks taking images of the sky with video cameras. Please let me know. I love this video.
