I feel that those in religion are simply too stubborn to admit that the idea is obviously flawed and that the whole idea is really quite absurd. Surrounded by a Christian family I often have to deal with them, no matter how subtle it may be, enforce their unproven and at times obviously conflicting views. I'm tired of the lack of proof of for all of this. I'm tired of all dancing around with question I have and after an answer is found to be wrong that then you move into one of them defaul

The truth is not religious.

I do not have time to argue with Atheists like you on youtube. To believe in God or to Believe in Atheism is a leap of faith, intelectuality can only get us so far. I happen to believe (and not without founding) that it takes Greater faith to be an Atheist. I hope you come to a fruitfull faith in Christ one day and can therefore understand. Bless you

Okay I would assert that sometimes religion can be used as a false excuse by corrupt people in power to motivate people to go to war for the real reason of gaining land and riches. However i would also assert that the horific atrocities commited by Atheist regimes has been due to their deep inbedded Atheism and lack of moral behaviour due to this. The use of religion has been an excuse, the cause by atheism has been deeply inbedded.

Furthemore i would assert that although Atheists like Stalin and Pol Pot did not boldly claim to kill in the name of Atheism. It was integral to there world view and sense of morality. It amazes me that Atheists dont realise that most genocides have been commited by Atheist (or at least irreligious) regimes. Do i have to say im killing people because im an atheist for that to be the reason. Because without God who cares if you kill a couple million people. Without God it isnt wrong.

@unitethechurch - The Crusades were the attempt to gain "Holy Land". That is a fact that it was a religiously motivated war. Yes, they were all corrupt people but you can not find any link from Stalin's actions to Atheism. On the other hand, you can link Hitler's actions to his religious views. Example: He often said that he was "doing God's work" by exterminating everyone.

@Critic863 Man it amazes me that you dont see that your arguement works both ways. Funny that you would mention how correlation doesn't equal causation because my defence would be the same. These things were done by corrupt people in powerfull positions using God as an excuse. I would also make the bold assertion that the Catholic Church became corrupted and ceased being Christian at least in its leadership for a very long time.

@unitethechurch "and so you know Buddhism asserts that Gods or God like beings exist.” --> Yes they do have creatures they call “Gods” These creatures have no power over the way the world works (morality, salvation, etc) rather they are beings that live and die just as we do, in fact, we could be reborn as one of them and they one of us depending on our karma. They are closer to tree nymphs and things like that.
So they have no al-powerful Creator God who dictates the morality
is there anything good religion has done??? nothing , nothing at all
