@Narcosis01 This car came out in November of that year, so it could be considered a 1973 concept.

@MikeStringfellow Are you talking about production or racing cars? In the production world, technically Lamborghini did it first with the Miurain 1966, followed by the 1967 Maserati Ghibli. If you go to the racing world, the 1961 Ferrari 196 SP Dino wins this title, unless you count the 1956 Lotus Eleven. Lotus's first production 'wedge,' was the 1966 Lotus 47 Europa. The 'wedge,' that you all are talking about came about on the 1972 Lotus Silver Car concept.

@Dreadzedan you just got the wedge shapr design since the 70s thing from the top comment...good try. and lotus are cheap and ugly and slow
-
and lotus has won more championships than almost any manufacturer. btw
-
lotus today is like the best handling car ever and its old esprit is a legend, reputable car companies which names will go unsaid get their suspension tuned by lotus to achieve optimal handling. and it is not a lambo copy only an idiot or a 7 year old would think that Lotus and Lamborghini have been making wedge shaped cars since the 70s. what do you mean by try? don't understand. lotus need not try it, has been there took pictures and came back
-
Stay in school...
-
lotus...why do they even try?
-
No.. Twin clutch tranny all the way.
-
They'll be bust or sold before it is ever built
Oh, and the comments about Lotus "copying" Lamborghini's style: it's a wedge! Both Lotus and Lamborghini have been making wedge shaped cars since the 70s! If anyone should sue it's whatever caveman first used a wedge-shaped piece of wood to split a log!
