Gracias por la aclaración, quizas CarlosQC tenga toda la razón en cuanto al significado de la palabra cholo, pero los tiempos cambian y las palabras se van enriqueciendose en significados, como dices tu, cholo ahora resaltaria el exito de los cholos , pero de alli a que el titulo del album deberia darnos verguenza por llamarse cholo soy...no me parece, me parece a resentido.

uhm no lo sabia,cholo significa para mi, la aunion de la raza española con la mestiza, significa para mi, una muestra de cariño, algunos lo usan como despectivo,todos los peruanos somos cholos,pero si te sientes ofendido, problema suyo, a mi me gusta el album Peruvian Waltz Chillout y listo.

El termino cholo ha cambiado. Es un termino positivo en su mayoria de usos.

Hoy nos sentimos orgullosos de ser cholos independientemente si somos blancos, amerindios o negros. Asi todos los peruanos somos cholos: muchachos o mestizos - tomando sus acepciones, hoy todos nosotros los cholos - que podemos ser de todos los colores y hablando quechua, aymara, etc - somos herederos de un pasado multi-etnico y multicultural.

Maria Rotworowski, dice que CHOLO, proviene de la palabra Moche "CHOLU", que significa MUCHACHO y que lo utilizaron los Espanoles cuando ingresaron por el norte del Perú, en la actualidad se usa en Perú (Cholo Sotil), en Argentina (Cholo Simeone), en Ecuador (Cholo Candelario), también en Bolivia y en el norte de Chile.

En el Perú siempre ha habido racismo. El del blanco con plata que desprecia a los indios,mestizos, negros, chinos, etc, y a los otros blancos que no tienen plata. El de los blancos sin plata que despecia a las otras razas o mezclas y envidia a los blancos con plata. El negro desprecia a los indios y a las mezclas y quiere ser blanco. El indio con plata que goza tratando de "Tu" al blanco con plata y desprecia a sus hermanos sin plata. Y asi sucesivamente. Pero todo encubierto y muy soterrado.

Cuadra didn't tell them it wasn't his work, that is very fool, because if your friend is telling the truth, it nedds to be your friend, not J. Cuadra to tell the owners of the songs for permission for use that songs in a new version, so if your friend is telling the truth he used that songs without payment or recognition....!!!!!!

@chinita03ago I thought very well before writing. The Cholo Soy theme/ remix(and 2 other themes on the album) was written by Giancarlo Morrocco who is a good friend of mine from London. Abanto Morales and Eva Ayllon knew nothing about it because J.Cuadra didn't tell them that it wasn't his work.

Jaime Cuadra have done it with the participation of the owners of the songs like Luis Abanto Morales and Eva Ayllón peruvian singers, and they do not Know nothing about the English producer and you say that he has done this version of Cholo Soy, so Why Luis Abanto Morales and Eva Ayllón do not know completely nothing about this English producer......?????????? who used that songs without payment or recognition....????????? Who is a LYER....????. You need to think better before writing..!!!!!!!!

This version of Cholo Soy was not written by Jaime Cuadra, it was done by an English producer and Jaime used it without payment or recognition. It's a complete lie. Mentira total
