That is not true.
Market share has nothing to do with the non-existence of Mac OS X viruses, it is the underlying system, that prevents the privilege escalation a virus needs.
Look for "The Mac OS X Malware Myth Continues" to learn more about that.
Look for the "Mac Virus / Malware Guide" on MacRumors to learn more about Mac OS X and available malware and the differences and ways to protect yourself.

@FlyingLaptop That's what some fans say. I own Apple products and I love them but viruses do exist for the Mac. Apple even said so on it's Snow Leopard page.

Sorry dude. Avast blows; isn't real-time. Same for ClamXav. You would constantly be having to scan files. Get iAntivirus. Best free one out there.
