I don't know, I am of the mind, if the original is gone what is left? Sorta like Van Halen with David Lee Roth VS Sammy Hagar... Sometimes it's hard to change when you have been given the very best and now this....No offence to anyone. Just how I feel.

@sneezie24 Thank you. Couldn't have put it better myself. It was Gethsemane and there's no allegedly about it. Steve's performance of Geth and this one too has brought many to tears with the raw emotion he is able to make the audience feel when he sings them. I was at the live performance of this song in Abbey Road...... I cried buckets along with most of the audience. So Burqua instead of focusing on the one note - which sounds amazing to me by the way, listen to the whole performance.

I do believe the performance Sir Percy, that moved webber to tears was a performance of "Gethsemane" from Jesus Christ Superstar that many many people paid a lot of money to see multiple times, so spare us!

It is always fascinating to read the comments from the "couch" critics who feel they somehow have an expertise that surpasses the judgment and opinions of the actual composers and artists who's respected careers have been established based on their creative choices! Although we are all entitled to our opinions. I also must agree with what all but Barqua 12 and Sir Percy/Blakney have stated. This is an incredible performance by an extremely gifted and talented singer.

@1Youngcat to make a comment on Andrew Lloyd Webber, the same goes for him.
A musical genius probably but what happened to his song in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009?
The song was both nagging and tedious, with the self-satisfied title: "It's My Time" (sung by Jade Ewen": youtube.xxx/watch?v=PBykhFyy-Z
E; you know what do to with those "X":es, right? ;OP). It ended up in 5th place. Maybe the UK shouldn't be automatically finalists in ESC but that's another issue.
I Received with a lot of grief and surprise the death from one of my great idols ...I wish you have developed in this planet knowing that left you vary seeds that will germinate and they will remind your exceptional work ...Thanks for your work... that in a next incarnation, You comes with the same talent and find other " Alan Parsons " to create wonderful other project!!!
