Did you know you can clean you smooth-top with baking soda? It's true! Watch as my super dirty range gets spic and span with just baking soda and water! Add a tiny vinegar for a fun, ultra-cleaning, bubbly effect!

  • Yes, but no yucky chemicals in baking soda! :)

  • If the spray says it can clean a glass stove, then it is, but I'm not sure about generic cleaners. Plus I don't like the idea of the chemicals from the spray getting heated up near my food.

  • I only use baking soda--for any powdery residue, just spray with vinegar and you'll have a squeaky clean stovetop

  • HEY THANKS FOR THIS GREAT TIP....IT REALLY WORKS. SO I GUESS YOU COULD SAY YOU JUST TAUGHT AN OLD DOG A NEW TRICK....AND REALLY AN INEXPENSIVE ONE AT THAT.

  • You rock lady!! Thanks!

  • Also a product called "Bar keepers Friend" I think is better than baking soda. BKF is a finer powder and has it's own polishers built in. You can find it at any grocery store including target and walmart.

  • Thanks, I just bought my house and with it came a glass stove top, I never had used one. I was spraying it down with a cleaner after every time I used it. But now I will use the baking soda. Is it safe to even use the sprays? Thanks.

  • Thank you

  • Worked for me. Thank-you!
