If you look at the full over head shots , not this editied view Righi was braking in front of the teams trying to pull back the breakaway,>you dont do that as a pro or for that matter as amatuer without getting the idigination of peleton

the announcers on universal sports thought it was a fight because of 'nerves' but they obviously have never raced. with cunego in the break the lampre boys were doing all they could to disrupt the chase and that can piss the others off. evans, being the WC, just was basically saying 'stop fucking up the chase' and sometimes things get a bit physical.

It was a deliberate tactic played by Righi to get back to the team cars. Evans has always been a cocky rider and believes everyone needs to work with him or for him. End of story.

s0meguy0001 has it right - of course the Lampre boys were trying to disrupt the chase, that's their job in this situ, but to all the Evans-haters, I'd love to see you get boxed in when you were losing time on GC - you'd be just as pissed no doubt, and do something pretty similar.

To be sure, we need more video of what lead to this, but Righi said afterwards he didn't "brake" or do anything wrong ...but if he puts himself in front of you, then stops pedalling...well it's the same thing eh.
